About the Society

The Society of Christ the King, founded in 1973, is committed to serving underprivileged communities in Mumbai. It operates Nishkalanka Convent School, which provides education to children from slums, rickshaw drivers, and fisherfolk families. These students often face barriers to accessing quality education due to financial constraints. The society's mission is to empower these children through education and values, enabling them to build a better future. In addition to the school, the society has previously run projects focused on leprosy eradication, aged care, and community health services.
